These elegant bread rolls are made from a mash up of boiled potatoes, onions, chillies and bread slices spiced along with some Indian spices. These are very easy to prepare ahead of time and serve as a good breakfast, tea time or party snack.

Ingredients
- 4-6 medium sized boiled potatoes
- 5-6 slices of white/brown bread ground into crumbs
- 1 large onion finely chopped
- 4 green chillies finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander chopped
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp dried mango powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup roasted semolina for coating
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the bread by either grinding the slices into crumbs, or just tearing apart into small pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash together boiled potatoes, bread, onion, chillies and all above ingredients (except semolina and oil).
- Mash up the mixture together and shape into palm sized rolls as in the picture above.
- In a flat plate, spread semolina and roll over the rolls to coat all sides, press with your hands to make sure semolina sticks well.
- Heat oil on medium flame in a deep pan, and fry the rolls until golden brown.
- Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.
